Continental Sprinter Gatorskin Tubular Tire

This is the Continental Sprinter Gatorskin Tubular Road Tire. A high mileage, all weather tubular. It is Continental’s tubular tire for “getting the miles in”. The tubular version of the extremely popular Ultra Gatorskin clincher. This tubular tire inherits the best qualities from this tire. The nylon/aramid belt provides lightweight effective protection against urban debris whilst keeping the tire flexible. Continental have also included their patented, lightweight side wall protection -Duraskin. This is an extremely durable polyamide mesh that protects the extra-fine, high performance casing from cuts, punctures and abrasion. Duraskin provides lightweight durability, at less than 10g per tire, it has a very high strength to weight ratio meaning that cyclists benefit from superb anti tear protection whilst still experiencing lightweight performance from their tires.

The professional riders use a similar combination in their tires for Paris – Roubaix and other equipment destroying classics in the springtime.
